Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn (/wind/ /ʤigˈtæ̝n/ [firm] [archive]) is a temperate Town located in the Slïrddáms Principality of the Cochian City-state.

The name Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn is derived from the Gnollish language, as Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn was founded by Giant Termites vyim Rolɑrtɑrusg, who was culturaly Gnollish.

Climate

Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn has a yearly average temperature of 5°C (41°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cold 2°C (35°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 9°C (48°F). Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn receives an average of 205 cm/y (80 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 1748 m (5734 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn was founded durring the late 16th century in winter of the year 1484, by Giant Termites vyim Rolɑrtɑrusg. The establishment of Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn is buildings folow an organic layout of crampt worn bedrock streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town is protected by a renforced stone fence which sits atop earthwork defences, for some of the best inexpencive defences a town of Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn's size could have. Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn's well-designed, yet cheep has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

A quick look in any direction shows Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn is filled with vices. There are many taverns, brothels are advertising their services on the streets, cardsharks are plying their illicit trade within public squairs, and every shop has at least three signs advertising various sales on goods. That alone wouldn’t be too noticeable, if it wasn’t just so omnipresent and overwhelmingly how the people of this town live. Or if the general public wasn’t so enthusiastically, openly, and merrily participating in these activities.

Civic Infrastructure

Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn.

Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is recurring in Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn.

The Hare, Arctic near Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn are known to be quite timid.

Iyuzeld Wind-jigtēn's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves embarking on a group pilgrimage to channel Necromancy energies of tier 1 via moments of science.
